2014 Design Trends We Love: Concrete

Concrete is no longer downtown chic!  Another design trend for 2014, this look is durable and sexy! We’ll show you how to apply it in any room of your living space.  It’s not just for floors (but we love THIS concrete floor)!

The concrete trend extends to the bedroom.  The concrete wall in this bedroom gives a sleek feeling to velvet headboard and cashmere bedding.

Concrete floors with a concrete counter may sound harsh, but in reality it can make a bathroom feel like a spa.  Choose a new neutral paint for the walls to soften it up.

Peter Balsam Project: Bathroom Renovations for Pre-War Upper West Side Apartment.

We did bathroom renovations for a pre-war Upper West Side Apartment. The use of soft grey marble in tiles and mosaic add the needed texture and interest make this small bathroom seem larger.

Also part of this bathroom renovation in a pre-war on the Upper West Side: a curved niche was created to accommodate the round storage vanity and custom designed cabinet above. These elements help to make a small bath seem larger.
