Fall 2014 Home Color Trends

A change in seasons means a change in home colors as well.  This modern open kitchen is a chic example of how to incorporate copper into a room using tiling and maple stained panels.

We love wine! We love to drink it too, but right now we’re focusing on the wine color in the home for fall. This Tribeca loft has it incorporated using a wine colored sofa with pops of color for a contemporary look.

Of course we couldn’t talk about fall home color trends without mentioning a warm pumpkin tone! This rich color works perfectly in a dining room, inviting everyone in for a warm meal.

Rich browns are popular this fall and add a nice contrast to light colored wood.  This orange and brown living room tones down the masculinity of the dark brown and earth tones with pops of color using throw pillows.

Fall 2014 Furniture Trends

What we love about New York City is that it celebrates every season full of passion. It’s starting to feel like fall, so this week let’s take a look at some fall furniture trends! First up, pleated furniture. We’re loving this Coaster Parkins Parsons chair. The pleated bottom will transform your dining room into an elegant space, just in time for holiday gatherings!

This fall, we’re seeing statement dining tables as a popular trend.  This dining room combines two trends – a statement table and the furniture pleating that we highlighted yesterday!

We’re also seeing a home trend that utilizes small spaces in the house and transforms them into tiny rooms.  For example, this small space solution takes a tiny nook in a Manhattan apartment and transforms it into a home office with custom made drawers and shelving.

Green furniture is a big fall home trend but not the color, the movement!  Cisco Homes makes chic furniture using plant friendly upholstery.  We love the sexy look of this Francesca Bed from their green collection!

Interior Design Trends for 2014: Chandeliers

Chandeliers are a big trend we are seeing in interior design this year and we love it!  This Upper West side residence had a custom chandelier made for this modern dining area.  It immediately draws the gaze upwards.

Rooms We Love: this contemporary wine cellar with a spiral chandelier from Paul Ferrante.  Wine tasting never looked so sexy!

A champagne colored chandelier turns a master bathroom into a luxurious spa!  How many of you would love this look in your own home?

Navy Living Room with Red Accents

The colors in this room play off the navy walls and navy ceiling.  While red and navy are a classic combination, the modern fixtures and furniture give this room a sexy, contemporary feel.  What do you think of this look?
